What Is Issuance Insurance |
Issuance Insurance will allow you to submit a new request for an SSL Certificate completely free of charge. Your SSL Certificate will be reissued with any existing validity that was remaining. |
It is important to note that you will need to ensure your product includes Issuance Insurance or allows you to purchase it during the initial ordering process to be eligible for a replacment SSL Certificate. |
If your order does not include Issuance Insurance and you unexpectedly lose your SSL Certificate or Private Key you will have to purchase the full priced product again. |
How Long Is Issuance Insurance Valid |
Usually you can make a claim for Issuance Insurance during the validity of your SSL Certificate. Generally you can have your SSL Certificate issued an unlimited amount of times. If you are ordering a VeriSign® product, Issuance Insurance is valid for 30 days from the initial order date only. Additional fees and charges may be payable for VeriSign® products if you require a new SSL Certificate after 30 days. |
